The crawl space inspection showed some cracks in the foundation, insulation hanging down, AC lines in crawl space on the ground, and moisture but not standing water. The crawl space does have an old vapor barrier. When the inspector did the first inspection we could not get into the crawl space but because of the help from John's he went back on Friday and was able to. Now we just have to wait for the final report to finish up so we can properly waterproof.

Remediation of water issues in crawlspace to satisfy inspection of home for sale. This was done for my wife's house which she tried to sell when we got married. After renting she was prepared to put the house on the market when a referral from a friend resulted in an offer. The inspection revealed some water issues in the crawlspace, not unusual in this part of the state. I went down to look and verify the issue. The inspection service recommended John's service which made me somewhat skeptical but the Angie's list reviews were positive. When their agent came to inspect and discuss remediation I was more impressed. They were able to schedule the work in a time frame favorable to closing. They arrived on time and did an excellent job of keeping the house clean and cleaning up afterwards. I went down into the crawlspace and saw that new plastic had been put down but wasn't going to peel up the plastic to verify the trenching and placement of drain pipe (sock covered flexible drain pipe).  I saw the wiring for the sump pumps and the alarms but again did not peel away the black plastic to verify installation. It is difficult to rate this work in comparison to above grade work where a better inspection is possible. It appears they did what they said they would and the situation is improved. I am not one to inflated ratings. This is difficult work and "adequate" is really fair praise. I would consider them for our current home some time in the future.

From the very start this has been one of the best experiences I have had with any company. The service was fantastic! Carol Ann was great to work with. The crew went way beyond the normal. They kept the work site very clean. The foreman came up with a couple of great ideas and the end product they produced was better than I hoped for. Thanks to all!

Everyone I worked with was so very professional. The crew stayed clean throughout the installation, laying down plastic and then cleaning up after themselves as they went along.

Marcus was very helpful in explaining the systems that Johns Watweproofing would use to address our leaky basement issues. He also identified whether and when additional contractors might be needed to address other issues, e.g. Wood repair, electrical outlet installment.

Dear Zezar and crew and Carolann, Thank you so so much for all the amazing work you did at our house. that was not an easy job and you tackled it head on and with a great attitude. Plus, you guys were just so nice! I had my son Cooper with me at one point and you high-fived him! It’s such a relief to know that our crawlspace is going to stay dry. It just made me so sad to finally buy a house and to then have the surprise of water (and fear of mold) in the crawlspace; thanks for working with me to get it within reach for me.
