Push Piers Installed, Saugus, MA

This homeowner in Saugus, Massachusetts, purchased their home this year but hasn't moved into the home yet because of some foundation concerns. They called EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Kenny Calabrese inspected their foundation and recommended installing 12 Push Piers to the right side of their home. The Push Piers will stabilize the foundation by sending 3' sections of galvanized steel beneath the home until sufficient pressure was achieved.

Foundation Wall Crack Seal, Lynnfield, MA

Great look at a recent crack seal application our team completed in Lynnfield, MA. Not a lot of moisture was leaking through the wall, but this homeowner wanted peace of mind that not even a little bit of water would leak through into their basement. Our crack seal material and application, is quick, clean, and efficient.

SmartJacks Installed to Add Support to Floor System, Revere, MA

A homeowner in Revere, Massachusetts, had called an engineer because their floors looked like they weren't supported and they were sloping. The engineer recommended installing supplemental beams. The homeowner called EFS for a free inspection of their basement and our Design Specialist recommended supplemental beams but to additionally replace the existing supports with our SmartJacks. 

Commercial Building Owner Want to Sell the Building, Haverhill, MA

This commercial building owner in Haverhill, Massachusetts is planning on selling their building. They recently noticed sagging in the rear of the building. They would like to repair the sag before trying to sell the building. The owner felt the sag would be a sticking point in the sale of the building. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection. 

Design Specialist Stephen Caron inspected the building. During his inspection, Stephen noticed that the joist in the basement had water damage and are rotting where they meet the foundation wall. He also found that the rear corner of the building is sagging around 4.75". Stephen recommended installing SmartJacks with supplemental beams to add support to the building and eliminate the sagging in the building. Stephen recommended having a carpenter come out to reinforce the joists in the basement. 

Crew Lead Ed Nadreau and his team installed 5 SmartJacks on the right side of the building to stabilize the floor and bring it back to its original position. The owner can now feel confident in selling their building. 

Fieldstone Foundation is Leaning In, Haverhill, MA

This homeowner in Haverhill, Massachusetts was experiencing the fieldstone foundation leaning inward. The homeowners have tried to brace the wall using pieces of wood but to no effect. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection. 

Crew Lead Nick Carelli and his team started installing the Auxiliary Wall. The team first installed the rebar and the PowerBrace on the wall. Next, they fixed the forms into place. Finally, a concrete truck arrived and the crew poured concrete between the forms and the wall until it got to the top. Then they let the concrete cure and once fully cured the team will remove the forms and trim off any imperfections.
