After completing a free home inspection, our Design Specialist recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement. These SmartJacks would replace old and decaying Lally columns that could no longer provide the support to the structure that was needed. Our SmartJacks are posts that provide permanent support to the home. They are made of galvanized steel which prevents corrosion and can support 60,000lbs.
The SmartJacks were cemented into the foundation on a sturdy base and attached to a supplemental support beam. With these durable posts in place, the home is now properly supported. This homeowner can now remodel their home with confidence that floors are level and will remain level.
