A homeowner in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, lived in an 1880s home for the past 10 years. Earlier this year, the homeowner's were worried about the air quality in their house. They had a radon mitigation system installed but still felt like the air quality in their home could be better. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our design specialist Chris Greenwood recommended installing an ERV system and a SaniDry into the basement to improve the air quality in their home.
The ERV will bring fresh air into the home and remove old stale air while the SaniDry will keep the humidity in the home at a comfortable level.
This homeowner in Portsmouth, New Hampshire had water from their driveway coming into their garage. They wanted to find some way to stop this so they called EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist recommended installing TrenchDrain, SuperSump, and IceGuard in the garage.
A homeowner in Portsmouth, New Hampshire plans on finishing the basement in the near future and wisely wanted to waterproof it first. Already experiencing water seepage in the basement during heavy rains, it was essential to keep the basement dry all the time. The existing sump pump that had previously been installed in the basement was unable to capture all the water. Looking to protect his future investment, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our System Design Specialist, Bryan Barnard, recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage, TrenchDrain surface drainage, and a SuperSump sump pump. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement to capture water and deliver it to the sump basin. TrenchDrain was installed to reroute water around the oil tank. This system connects to WaterGuard, creating one flow of water to the sump basin. Once water enters the sump basin, the SuperSump pumps the water out of the home. Our SuperSump includes a primary pump, as well as a battery-powered backup pump to ensure that water stills gets pumped out of the home in the event of a power outage.
With a durable sump pump and French drain style drainage system, this homeowner can confidently finish the basement knowing that it will stay dry all the time!
