Eliminating Humidity and Musty Odors in Hollis, NH

A homeowner in Hollis, New Hampshire was experiencing high humidity in the house, specifically in the basement. This has led to wooden items deteriorating and minimal mold, which has created a musty odor. Looking to turn the basement into a playroom for the kids, this homeowner reached out to us for a permanent solution.

Our Design Specialist, Josh Phillips, recommended installing SilverGlo wall insulation, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The SilverGlo was installed to the crawl space to provide R-11 insulation. CleanSpace was installed to prevent moisture in the crawl space. By eliminating moisture from the crawl space, the threat of high humidity, wood rot, and insects vanishes. Lastly, the SaniDry Sedona was installed in the basement to create a comfortable living space. Mold spores and other toxins are removed, creating a dry and healthy environment.

With these systems in place, the homeowner can confidently transform the basement into a playroom with peace of mind that it will remain dry and temperate.

Crawl Space Support and Waterproofing, North Andover, MA

A homeowner in North Andover, MA has been experiencing flooding in their crawl space. This flooding has caused a good amount of damage, as well as mold and odors. Additionally, the crawl space was now struggling to support the rest of the home. This homeowner wanted a permanent solution to eliminate these issues, which is why he reached out to our Erickson Foundation Solutions team.

After a free inspection with our Design Specialist, Nikki Burke recommended installing SmartJacks in the crawl space to withhold and support the structure. Installing a waterproofing system was also essential. In order to do this, our team installed our SmartSump, a sump pump system which collects all the unwanted water and disposes of it safely away from the home. In addition to this, CleanSpace is applied to encapsulate the space. Our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier was also installed to prevent moisture and other undesirable qualities such as mold.

This crawl space was once wet, cold, moldy, and unstable. After installing these products, the crawl space has transformed into a dry and solid foundation. Without worry of water, air is healthy for the household and sagging floors have been restored. This homeowner was thrilled to say the least.
