This lovely family was buying a new home and discovered that it had elevated levels of radon during the inspection. Radon Defense Midwest installed a mitigation system before they moved in, ensuring their safety from the start and peace of mind.
This client made her full research about radon before deciding to get a radon mitigation system installed in her home. She called Radon Defense Midwest and inquired with the team on how it works and how will the installation process be. The team educated her with the information she needed along with the free estimate she got. She made the decision to get the system after a few days learning that it will definitely prevent any harmful radon effects on her health.
This client turned in with radon levels of 6 in her home. She requested the radon mitigation system not be noisy or cause a disturbance outdoors. What the team did is a one point system by the home's plumbing stack and placed the fan in the wall between the garage and back side of the home. We placed a radon fan cover as the guarantee of the noise and the client didn't expect it would be that quiet so she was really happy!
These were one of our delicate customers as the main reason they got a radon mitigation system is because part of the homeowner's lung has been removed. He is entirely sensitive to anything that can attack his respiratory system or as simple as his breathing. The wife is overly concerned about radon at home, so they had to test, the reading came out to 30 pCi/L which was not good. They immediately booked an installation in the closest possible time and date. The team found a room for 3 extraction points and the point starts between the lift station and stack in storage closet. Second point was from the closet going to the bathroom and third point will be from the other closet with the bathroom that has a floor drain. Before the team started everything was identified and explained to both homeowners and all sets of expectations were laid down. They agreed and gave the go signal and everything was smooth as silk! They also threw in an addition of Breathe EZ filter and duct cleaning for extra protection.
