This client of ours shared his heroic story on how he brought up the radon mitigation system as a health investment to his family. They were hesitant at first due to the costs and the meticulous process their home needs to go through. A neighbor convinced them to get a simple radon test first and shocked to see that they had high levels! They did ask the team what's the best option for a tight budget and didn't realize we offered a payment plan or financing. They were really happy about and gone through the booking. The team did see they also needed a crawlspace encapsulation to prevent moisture and bugs. It was a simple installation since they already have a dedicated spot for the radon fan.
Andrew and John did a great job installing this 5 point mitigation system.
The customer was preparing to sell their house and wanted to avoid any surprises during the inspection process. Knowing that radon testing is common in real estate transactions, they decided to preemptively check for radon. The results showed elevated levels. To ensure the home was market-ready, they hired a radon mitigation service to install a system. With the radon levels under control, they successfully marketed the home as a safe and healthy environment, which helped reassure potential buyers and expedite the sale.
The clients were a retired couple. The husband worked in construction for many years so he did ask a lot of questions and talked about technical stuff in terms of how radon mitigation is related to his field. They had a test and returned with levels of 5.7 and the wife has had health and lung issues and is a previous smoker, so they really need to go through mitigation for health reasons. The home's basement is unfinished and open. Installation will be in the sump pit with interior and exterior drain tile. Everything is perfect as to how they imagined it. We did advice about ERV for better ventilation and they will contact back in the future once they are ready.
Upon doing a radon test, we discovered they had high radon levels. In effort to reduce the radon levels and create a healthier home, we encapsulated the crawlspace in Clarkson.
