Julia A. of Winchester, Massachusetts had finished a portion of her basement to add an additional 300 ft² of finished space. They had previously installed a radon system that was calibrated to the old setup of the basement. Design Specialist Isaac Hernandez came to the home and proposed a new design for their radon system. This design will be able to mitigate a larger area better than the old radon system.
Crew Lead Branden Edwards came to the home and replaced the old radon system and installed the new one in only a couple of hours.
Now Julia is confident that radon is being mitigated out of her basement effectively.
A homeowner in Winchester, Massachusetts, uses their basement as a storage area and as a gym. Recently they have become concerned with the levels of radon in the basement. They called EFS for a radon test and an inspection to see if a radon system can be installed in their home.
The test results from inside the basement were above 4.0 pCi/L so our Design Specialist recommended and designed a radon system to lower the radon levels below 4.0 pCi/L. Our installation team installed the radon system in only a few hours and lowered the radon levels below 4.0 pCi/L.
This homeowner in Woburn, Massachusetts had recently moved into their home 2 months ago. Upon moving into the home, they planned on finishing part of the basement to create a second living room. Before they started finishing the basement they tested for radon. The results of their test were 12 pCi/L which is well over the recommended amount. After they received the results of their radon test they decided to reach out to contractors in the area that installed radon mitigation systems. They found Erickson Foundation Solutions and decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist John Prince inspected the basement. John recommended installing a radon mitigation system to be installed in the home.

A homeowner in Woburn, Massachusetts, had moved into the home for only two weeks before inquiring with local companies about radon mitigation. Their home was built in 1905. Before reaching out to companies in their area, they tested their basement for radon, and their test results were 6.4 pCi/L. The homeowner wanted to reduce the radon levels in their home so they reached out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Victor recommended installing radon mitigation into the home to reduce the radon levels below 2.0 pCi/L.
This homeowner in Wilmington, Massachusetts was experiencing higher than normal radon levels in their duplex. The homeowner owns the whole building and rents out the other side to his daughter who has young children. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection.
Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa arrived at the home and inspected both basements and then read a test that was done by a third-party company. The results from the test came back as 4.0 pCi/L which is cause for some concern.
Crew Lead Scott Crandall and his team arrived at the home and installed a Radon Mitigation System into each basement.
