This was a simple installation and the client found us through good reviews in Google. He wanted radon mitigation and duct cleaning on the spot along with paying for everything too. It was a 2-point system out the south wall west of the basement egress. The team ran the pipe outside the home to the west side where the radon fan will be located. The home was small and on a single level with good access to the crawlspace. Everything turned out fine and the client was really happy!
Everything was great. Clean-up was a 10, very good.
A renovation is ongoing in this client's home. They're making a large addition that includes a space behind their garage that's being converted to a laundry room and will set another space for the garage extension. An upstairs sunroom is also under construction. While they have this, they decided to take a radon test to see what's their level. Lo and behold, it turned out to be almost 10 pCi/L and that's high! The client made the decision to get a radon mitigation system installed with Radon Defense Midwest which would be a great fit while there is ongoing construction. So it's like a hole in one project. Everything was discussed in full detail and the installation was perfect. The client is happy.
This client had his home radon test return to a level of 10 which alarmed him so much that he immediately made a deposit for his own mitigation system. He is very concerned about the future effects of radon or if it's deemed poisonous at high levels. We definitely explained what he needs to know and set up a plan for his home. Everything went well.
This young client is a serious farmer, sought our help for a radon remediation system in his parents' ranch-style home. Built in 2016, the basement, mostly finished, had a passive system in place, but client considered alternative options due to concerns about warranties and fan longevity. A 4'' PVC pipe was speculated to be installed for the location of the system. With radon levels at 11.5 after test, health worries arose for him and his family, prompting the installation of a 20x25 filter and UVC. Additional points near the water heater and an interior drain tile in the sump pit were noted. The client, initially reserved, he warmed up during the process and provided an amazing feedback that he was very happy how the team was hands-on.
