The homeowners made a radon test and returned with levels of 11. The wife was pretty worried about radon and how the system would 'not blend in' with the aesthetic of their home. They called and we explained their options. They were very open and flexible on how we could route the system as they only requested a passive one. They just bought the house this year 2024, and the roof was already penetrated for this intent.
The client spends most of his time in his basement and since it's winter, he is worried that his radon levels might be triggering. This home was a very simple job as we did not have challenges upon installation.
Richard was a nice guy and bought the house about a year ago for his wife and kids. Another investment really. The house had an unusual odor coming from the walls. The team tested and returned with the levels of 9 and it was two chambers in a ranch house with an odd layout. It does not have a sump pit. The team planned a sub slab extraction point on both sides of block wall dividing house instead, core low to connect, route up in room where their guest was staying, take out back of house and core through wall. Richard agreed and he loved how it turned out!
This was very nice lady with lots of stories to tell. You wouldn't get bored in the job. She was very helpful upon installation and came in handy with her extra hands when needed. She even offered us yummy sandwiches for lunch. Her home was neat and tidy, you can tell she cleans a lot. She wanted her own radon mitigation system because her brother got one and it helped his breathing. Everything went well.
This wise couple decided to install a radon mitigation system to create a safe haven for the whole family. They're thrilled to watch as they know the levels would go down by the day. Everything went well and they were really happy.
