We were able to strategically place the suction point of this radon mitigation system in a perfect location. We located it near the main stack which is a potential entry point and will also help the system communicate with other areas of the basement slab.
ALS Radon & Environmental a local radon company in Kalamazoo, MI, completed a radon mitigation system at a residential home. A sub-slab depressurization radon system was used on this property. After drilling the extraction point sandy soil was discovered. A gx4 radon away fan was installed with the mitigation system to increase suction amount. By using this fan it will provide the lowest radon levels for the type of soil below this home.
Following the mold remediation of this customers basement we proceeded and painted the block foundation walls with an antimicrobial water proofing masonry coating.
The fan vent was ran to the attic area and not the outdoors. Our team installed a new vent through the roof and installed insulated ducting from the bathroom fan to the roof vent. We also completed a mold remediation of the attic.
This is an exterior extraction point installed for a radon mitigation. Our team cores a hole in the concrete, pulls out 10 - 15 gallons of fill, and installs schedule 40 PVC pipe to the outdoors to a fan. Everything is sealed air tight.
