The homeowner of this crawl space wished for usable space that would be sealed from the earth, waterproofed, and healthier overall. The team at MidAmerica Basement Systems cleaned debris from the space and fitted the space with CleansSpace. CleanSpace liner is 20 mil thick 7 ply material that is resistant to tear and punctures making it durable and long lasting. The CleanSpace fights mold growth with UltraFresh, which is an antimicrobial additive. The CleanSpace also acts as a vapor barrier making it difficult for Radon gas to enter the home. The dirt and brick flooring of this 125 year old basement was damp and soggy from erosion over time. To capitalize on the space and keep the interior dry, design specialist Fred Romane recommended full encapsulation. It looks amazing!
