Brenda has been living in her Camillus, NY home since 1985. Over the past couple of years, she has noticed issues with elevated radon levels in her home and has grown concerned about the health consequences of living with radon exposure. To gain peace of mind and mitigate the radon levels in her home, Brenda called Woodford Bros. for a free estimate for a radon mitigation system. After an initial inspection of the space, our Design Specialist determined that the sub-slab depressurization would be the optimal radon mitigation technique for Brenda's home along with encapsulating her basement using the CleanSpace and BrightWall systems.
Our radon mitigation system works to redirect radon gas from beneath the home using the stack effect by depressurizing the soil beneath the structure allowing for the gas to be redirected. The gas is then vented out and away from the home, and radon entry points are sealed. Next, Brenda's basement will be waterproofed and encapsulated using the CleanSpace and BrightWall systems, blocking out water vapor and creating a clean-looking space. With these systems in place, Brenda can have the peace of mind that her health and property value are being protected for the long-term.
Caitlyn was selling her home in Nedrow, NY and needed to have a Radon Mitigation System installed before putting the house on the market. In NYS your home must have a Radon Level below 4.0 pCi/L. Woodford Bros., Inc. installed the system for her and she was able to sell her house!
This Syracuse, NY homeowner was concerned over how radon levels in their home would affect their health and the future sale of the home. Wanting to stay on top of the issue they decided to reach out to Woodford Bros. for a free estimate for a radon mitigation system.
After a home inspection by our System Design Specialist, we suggested our most common radon mitigation system that works to depressurize the soil beneath the home, allowing for the radon gas to be redirected. The radon gas is then directed through a PVC pipe that is connected to a fan at the top of the structure ensuring proper ventilation out of the home. With this system installed, the homeowner can rest assured that their home and health are protected against radon gas.
