Our crew was tasked with transforming this home's crawlspace from the disgusting humidity, and moisture ridden crawlspace that you see to a beautiful functional space. We installed our Patented CleanSpace in order to get rid of and mitigate humidity, moisture, and dampnees from making its way through your concrete walls and into your basement.

This homeowner contacted us with significant structural issues in their crawl space, including a deteriorated and unsupported wall, inadequate reinforcement, and a deepened but unsecured crawl space. To address these concerns effectively, we implemented a comprehensive solution.Firstly, we installed a sturdy central beam in the crawl space, providing crucial support for the form work. This step ensured the stability and strength of the structure, laying the foundation for the subsequent repairs.

Next, we carefully poured concrete around the edges of the crawl space. This reinforced the perimeter, enhancing its overall stability and preventing future issues related to the weakened wall.

To further strengthen the home, we utilized our SmartJack system to support the existing girders properly. By strategically placing these supports, we ensured that the weight distribution was even and that the load was adequately carried by the foundation.

Finally, we encapsulated the crawl space using our innovative CleanSpace vapor barrier system. This advanced drain mat and vapor barrier combination created a protective barrier, effectively preventing the entry of water, moisture, humidity, and unpleasant odors. As a result, the homeowner's crawl space was now properly sealed and insulated, significantly improving the overall air quality and eliminating the risk of damage caused by excess moisture.

Upon completion of this project, the homeowner's concerns regarding the structural integrity of their home were fully addressed. Their crawl space was transformed into a secure and sound area, free from any risks of collapse. This homeowner was concerned with the structural integrity of two of their two bungalows. They believed that the bungalow's headers and footers of their foundations needed to be repaired, as the bungalow's in question had sunken. Because of what was occurring with the structures and previous projects that we had performed for other clients in the near vicinity, they contacted Basement Systems of New York to figure out what was going on. Upon our Specialist finishing his inspection, he was able to confirm their thoughts. Due to how thorough our Specialist was during their consultation, they wanted us to complete the project for them.

To take care of the issues at hand, we started digging down approximately four feet to install our sono-tubes. Once our sono-tubes were fully installed we poured our concrete on top of them to create our new poured footings. These footings would be the base for our SmartJack support systems with steel i-beams. After installing our support systems, we then sistered all of the floor joists of the bungalows. By applying these systems, we were able to lift, level, and stabilize the two bungalows. 

During the project, the homeowner could see an improvement in the structural integrity of the bungalows from us just applying our temporary supports. After lifting, leveling, and supporting the structures, they saw a tremendous change. Overall this homeowner could not have been any happier with how their project turned out. Because, of our help, they now can live in their home year-round without the fear of it falling down. More importantly than anything we were able to restore peace of mind back to them. 

These homeowners contacted Basement Systems of New York to see what could be done to take care of their basement to get it in tip-top shape before selling it. They knew with it having an old dirt floor that would get water consistently they would either need to take care of the issue before selling their home to create a value proposition for the buyer or take a large sum of money off. Because of this, they decided to be proactive and take care of the issues before selling their home. In doing so they can now guarantee to get the most return on their investment possible.

For us to take care of their water, foundation, and floor problems, we dug their floor four inches down, we then installed eight precast footings, all of which our SmartJack systems would sit on top of. Once this was completed we started to install our patented FlowGuard waterproofing system along the perimeter of the basement, which was then tied into our SuperSump plus. Finally, before laying our new concrete slab we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier on their walls.

By installing our patented systems we able to address the major concerns that the current homeowner had for himself and his family while they continued to live in the home, but more importantly to them they were able to address obvious issues that they knew would stop them from being able to sell their home in the foreseeable future.

This home's foundation was in need of serious help. Their original foundation wall had multiple areas that contained stair-stepping cracks. These cracks in their wall made it start to bow and deflect inward. After putting this work off for years, they knew they needed to take care of the issue before their home fell over. Because of previous projects we had completed, these homeowners knew that Basement Systems Of New York was the company to take care of their issue.

To take of the issue, we first temporarily supported their home. Once this was accomplished, we saw cut their black top to start digging down approximately twelve feet to uncover the foundation. We then knocked down their old block foundation wall. Next, we strategically lowered cinder blocks and cement into our trench. By doing this, we had the essential materials needed in order to rebuild their foundation wall. Once done we removed our temporary supports and backfilled the area that we had disturbed with a rough grade.

Since completing their project, they have noticed that their floors don’t bounce, creek, items in their home are level again, and much more. Most importantly, they are now not worried that their home will fall over, and they can sleep easily at night. They are so glad they decided to invest in their home and protect it with a professional company.
