A homeowner in Wakefield, Massachusetts was concerned with tripping hazards that formed on his concrete deck. This was due to settling over the years, which also caused cracks. With younger kids playing around the house, he wanted to make sure the deck was a safe space for his forever home. He reached out to our Erickson team for a permanent solution.
Our Design Specialist, Kenneth Calabrese, recommended installing PolyLevel and NexusPro to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that is injected underneath the concrete slab, instantly providing lift. Our installation crew then levels the concrete, thus eliminating trip hazards. With the concrete lifted and leveled, NexusPro is then installed to seal concrete joints and cracks. This silicone-based sealant prevents further settling and cracking, while offering an attractive aesthetic to the concrete deck.
After seeing the final result, the homeowner was thrilled to have a safe and attractive looking deck.
The coping around this pool in North Andover had separated from the concrete pool deck as the patio settled over the years. When our team arrived, the concrete had settled up to 2 inches in some spots. This created a dangerous trip hazard around the perimeter of the pool.
After installation of PolyLevel, this joint was near level, and the trip hazard had disappeared. Rather than rip out and replace all the concrete, this solution was cost effective and quick, as repairs took a single day.
A homeowner in Peabody, MA was concerned with a section of their concrete where the patio behind the home adjoined the pool deck. The patio itself was the location of a table and some seating. When walking from this area to the deck towards the pool, the concrete joints had become uneven, as one of the sides settled. This section was unsightly and a bit of a trip hazard for friends and family.
Rather than replace all the concrete in this section, which would be costly and disruptive to their backyard, the homeowners were looking for alternative solutions. When they met with our team and learned about PolyLevel, they were thrilled. Our team completed the project in a single day, and were successful in lifting the concrete to the desired height. The trip hazard was no longer a concern, and the joints were sealed with NexusPro to create a more finished look.
This sidewalk leading up to the entrance of the Blaisdell Library in Nottingham, NH had some uneven concrete and trip hazards. For families and children, these trip hazards were unsafe. When it came to shoveling snow in the winter, the uneven concrete was a nuisance.
Our concrete repair team was successfully able to lift and level the uneven sections of the sidewalk with PolyLevel to help the library create a safe environment for their community. A one day repair that saved the library thousands of dollars compared to replacing the walkway with new concrete.
A business owner in Conway, New Hampshire noticed his foundation slab was starting to sink in the back right corner of his warehouse. Cracks were also forming throughout the rest of the slab. It was very important that this business had level floors. They reached out to our Erickson team for a permanent solution.
Our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, recommended installing PolyLevel to lift and stabilize the concrete. This polyurethane foam is injected under the concrete to fill voids in the soil and lift the concrete back to its original place. This lifted the corner of the slab in the warehouse 3 1/2 inches. With PolyLevel also being installed under the rest of the warehouse slab, the amount of settlement will be reduced, resulting in less cracks in the floor.
The installation process was quick and efficient. The business owner was thrilled that his concrete slab is now lifted and level.
