This homeowner in Lowell, Massachusetts was preparing to finish his basement. He was looking to eliminate leaks and puddles forming on his basement floor beforehand so his property would be protected. This was essential because the homeowner had to use a wet vac every time there was heavy rain. He reached out to our Erickson Foundation Solutions team to provide a permanent waterproofing solution.

After scheduling an appointment with one of our Customer Care Specialists, a Design Specialist, John Prince, went to the home to conduct a free inspection. After completing the inspection, John recommended installing our TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard, CleanSpace, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. This waterproofing system captures water at the perimeter of the basement before entering the home and flows to the sump pump, where it is then safely pumped outside of the home. CleanSpace is an encapsulation system that is applied to the wall to prevent moisture and humidity. Finally, our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is installed to protect against mold and other effects due to humidity, as well as provide better air quality and a comfortable room climate.

With this system installed, a dry and temperate space has been created. The homeowner can now have the finished basement he always wanted. 

A landlord in Lowell, Massachusetts wants to remodel the kitchen floor before a new tenant moves in.  He noticed that the floors were uneven, preventing the work from being done. Our Design Specialist, Mark Proctor, provided a free home inspection. In order to lift, level, and stabilize the floor, he recommended installing SmartJacks in the basement. SmartJacks, similar to Lally columns, are adjustable support posts that provide superior support to the home. These posts attach to a galvanized steel plate that is cemented into the foundation. They are then connected to a support beam. The adjustable jacks are then raised to lift and level the floors. Our installation crew removed the previous wooden Lally columns and installed 8 SmartJacks.

Sagging floors no longer prevent the kitchen from being remodeled. The homeowner now has peace of mind that the work being done in the kitchen is protected from floors settling.
