This homeowner really wanted a radon mitigation system but was challenged with the budget as a whole amount. Our team presented some options for her such us our flexible payment plans. She was very happy about it and now she has her own radon mitigation system without breaking the bank!
Brooke works from a home office in basement and kids live down there. She tested and returned with levels of 9 and have been putting off. Her basement is nearly all finished. She also has an unfinished storage room that is on front of house. No sump pit. Sub slab extraction point in HVAC room, go through drywall and core to enter garage, will need to go across stairs to reach garage, then up into attic for fan and muffler placement. The Team Lead, Andrew talked about plans possibly changing due to limitations with virtual inspection initially. Client and tech ended up with a hanged location of fan from attic to exterior. Brooke was very nice and understanding all through out.
When this client started to test for radon he was doubting about the results, but his friends suggested to do another and the results were the same. The levels were high and he was worried about the radon exposure his home had for the past years of no protection. He booked an installation with Radon Defense Midwest and requested if the system could go out from the side of the house from the master's bedroom side. The team made it happen and they were really happy about it!
This client had a radon mitigation system installed with Radon Defense Midwest and made the decision to have a crawlspace encapsulation. The crawlspace was about 3 feet tall so it was an easy seal. The access was in a weird tight spot which became a challenge but it was perfectly done! Customer was happy.
This was an easy install as the homeowner was working in the construction industry before, so he did the most work in drafting how the radon mitigation system installed in his home. The team committed to his request and started from his daughter's bedroom closet running through the floor joists above the drop ceiling. From the crawlspace it would go through the master bedroom and straight shot into his garage. Regardless of the garage not having a ceiling, the crawlspace was very workable. The homeowner insisted on removing the debris and having the ceiling tiles adjusted from the master bedroom to expedite the job. His levels returned 7 pCi/L so there was sense of urgency. Homeowner was really happy with how it turned out!
