Here is a radon extraction point located in a basement of a home in portage Michigan recently installed by ALS Property Associates, Inc. This is a two point extraction point. It is creating negative pressure not only under the basement slab, but under the concrete floor crawlspace.
ALS Property Associates installed a radon reduction system at a residential home in Augusta, MI. A sub-slab depressurization radon system was used at this property. Schedule 40 piping was run from the basements extraction point to the outside. The radon fan was installed on the side exterior and vented above the roof line.
ALS Property Associates installed a radon mitigation system at a property in Hickory Corners, MI. This property had a dirt crawl space with no vapor barrier. A 20 mill vapor barrier was installed through out the entire crawl space and sealed. Drain tile was installed under the vapor barrier and used as an extraction point for the radon system. Schedule 40 piping was run from the crawl space and to the side exterior of the home. The radon fan was installed on the exterior and vented above the roof line.
See the before and after of a crawlspace our team recently encapsulated. The encapsulation was part of the radon depressurization system we installed to mitigate the radon. The CleanSpace liner is 20 MIL thick with an antimicrobial coating and really improves the air quality and overall environment of not only the crawlspace, but the home.
Before and after of a full crawlspace encapsulation for a radon sub-membrane depressurization. What a transformation! This system lowered the radon levels significantly and greatly improved the comfortability of the home.
