It was proposed to her by MidAmerica Basement Systems that she have CleanSpace and WaterGuard installed to address the new issue. CleanSpace provides a vapor barrier between the wall and basement, preventing moisture from entering the area and helping direct water to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the floor and wall joint to collect the water that we seeping in from the walls. Once it collects into the WaterGuard, it can be directed to the sump pump, and properly discharged.
