Morton, IL homeowners contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems because their front walkway was several inches below the easement. Fred Romane came out and took a look, evaluating the needs of the Morton residence.
Before PolyLevel and Concrete Protection System were installed by foreman Levi Freund, the walkway left a lot to be desired. Now, the Morton homeowners come home to a beautiful and functional walkway - that will stay that way for quite a long time.
Jim has had a couple of different companies come and level his driveway, all having the same result, unsolved problem. He had heard of the new injection technology offered by MidAmerica Basement Systems and was ready to try the system before resorting to new poured concrete. Due to the previous mudjacking attempts from other companies, the soil under the concrete kept compressing from the heavy weight of the slurry. PolyLevel is a lightweight polyurethane product that lifts and levels concrete, without the stress that slurry places on the soil. PolyLevel has not only restored Jim’s driveway, but provided him a more permanent solution to his initial problem.
Marty was starting to notice large stress cracks in his driveway. When he contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems about his issue, it was explained to him that it was due to small voids under the concrete. The weight of the concrete itself began sinking into the voids causing the concrete to crack. Dan, design specialist, offered Marty a concrete protection plan that uses a NexusPro Crack Repair and Joint Sealant. The sealant allows for a flexible, durable bond, keeping the cracks from becoming larger and sealing the ground off from water intrusion. Majority of voids come from water washouts, and providing a permanent seal from future washouts. NexusPro sealants also make concrete cracks unnoticeable as if there are no cracks at all.
Sunken sidewalks can cause turn a home’s curb appeal to an unsightly look. Injected PolyLevel from MidAmerica Basement Systems can help lift and stabilize the sunken slabs. For Aaron, his sidewalk had dropped about 3 inches from the concrete stoop. After PolyLevel was injected, the slab was lifted back to its original position, eliminating the excessive gap. To prevent future voids from forming, a NexusPro Joint Sealant was placed along the crack. It prevents water from seeping in between the slabs and washing out the ground underneath. Aaron’s curb appeal is now back to beautiful with leveled concrete slabs.
Homeowner Anthony contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems when they noticed over time that their sidewalk and driveway were sinking and cracking. He wanted to learn more about the PolyLevel technology that we offer. PolyLeveling is a foam that is injected under the concrete slab and is used to lift and level the slab back to its previous place.
