Drywall was installed in the basement after Clay and Deb had installed a waterproofing system. Over the years, the house had begun to settle, creating cracks in the foundation. Due to the walls covered by drywall, they did not realize that water was seeping in behind the finished walls. The drywall had become damaged and the floors were soaked. MidAmerica Basement Systems offered the installation of CleanSpace and EverLast Wall Panels to prevent further leakage and damage to the rest of the basement. CleanSpace was installed against the foundation wall, providing a moisture barrier between the concrete foundation wall and the EverLast Wall Panels. The EverLast Wall Panels were installed along the damaged area of the drywall, offering not only a beautiful new look, but a waterproof wall that will not be destroyed by moisture or mold.
Zach and Amy were looking to increase their living space at their home for their family. They knew they could turn the basement into an extra livable space, but needed to make it safe for their family and guests. They contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have an egress window installed. It was suggested that they install a StakWel Egress Window. StakWel systems use high-strength plastic construction that will never rust or require painting, leaving it completely maintenance free. It uses interlocking modules, allowing for any depth to be reached. StakWels also use a “grip and step” design for easy exiting during emergencies. With the StakWel Egress Window installed, Zach and Amy now have a livable and safe basement for their family and guests.
Micki and Megan were having issues with water seeping in their basement and reached out to the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems. Mike inspected the basement and offered a WaterGuard and SuperSump systems. WaterGuard collects and redirect the seeping water, preventing it from surfacing to the floor. Once in the WaterGuard, it flows to the SuperSump to be properly discharged from the basement, leaving the area dry. Micki and Megan no longer have issues with water in their basement, and are happy once again.
