The team needed to demolish the lower section of drywall prior to the WaterGuard installation. After its removal, they chipped away the concrete to create room for the system. WaterGuard was then surrounded by crushed stone to facilitate correct water flow towards the sump basin and subsequently cemented into position.
An extraction point was created in the garage floor. PVC pipe was then installed and sealed in the extraction point.
The outdated sump pump was unable to capture water, rendering the basement susceptible to leaks and flooding.
WaterGuard is installed where the foundation floor meets the foundation wall in order to collect water from the outside wet soil.
WaterGuard has been installed around the foundation's perimeter to intercept water before it can enter the basement. The water that WaterGuard collects is subsequently directed to the sump pump.
Before adding perimeter drainage to the basement, some water surrounding the home's foundation would be captured before being exposed to the basement, but not all of it. This led to water intrusion, putting stored items in the basement at risk.
WaterGuard and TrenchDrain systems have been installed in the basement corner where water infiltration occurred. These systems are designed to intercept water before it enters the basement and channel it to the sump basin.
In order to allow space for WaterGuard and TrenchLock to be installed, the concrete along the basement border is trenched out.
