The photo depicts homeowners equipped with a shop vacuum, squeegee, and brush, utilizing these tools to eliminate the accumulated water on their basement floor.
The foundation wall in the garage had cracks which were causing concern.
WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement to capture water before it could access the finished basement space. The system is set within crushed stone to ensure proper flow of water to the sump pump's basin.
The old basement window was too small to operate as an emergency exit, and also didn't let in much natural sunlight.
The interior perimeter of the foundation was excavated to allow space for the WaterGuard system to be installed.
Concrete is removed from the basement's perimeter to create space for WaterGuard installation. The WaterGuard system is positioned within crushed stone to efficiently gather water and channel it to the sump basin. After testing the system, it is secured with cement.
The previous sump pump had incorrect plumbing connections to the sewage line, leading to unpleasant leaks. Additionally, the absence of a lid contributed to humidity in the basement.
Upon inspection, the basement had water puddling on the floor from water intrusion. This was a clear sign that another basement flood was likely to occur.
